Following along in the tradition of the "Freak Show" collection, "Before They Were Freaks" applies the same formula to the 1993-1995 lineup of Plastic Joe. Crudely recorded, raw, unedited, and completely unpolished, it provides some interesting insight into what made the band tick.

Taken from rehearsal tapes recorded over the years, this release showcases some of the unfinished material that never saw the light of day, as well as highlighting a few interesting takes of some old standards.

The earliest tracks come from the first months of the bands existance, others from just weeks from the end... it provides a great time capsule into the growth of the band.
