Insidious Mind Candy (1997)
"Insidious Mind Candy" cover art

October 11, 1997 marked the release of the first official Plastic Joe CD, which contained new recordings of many old PJ standards, as well as one brand new track, "Davenport". From this track it became apparent that there was much more potential waiting to be tapped.

The tracks "Preacher Man" and "Truth" gained airplay on local Seattle radio, while tracks like "Why" and "Davenport" quickly became live favorites. Plastic Joe became well known for their high-energy, almost non-stop live set, and they spent the better part of 1997 and 1998 playing shows around the Seattle area.

Sadly, this would be the only studio album released with this lineup.
